Meet Dr. Walker
Dr. Walker is a native of Louisville. After graduating from Walden in 1979, he began his undergraduate studies at Florida College in Temple Terrace, Florida. He graduated with his Associates degree in 1981 and continued his undergraduate work at Western Kentucky University in Bowling Green, Kentucky. Dr. Walker went on to receive his Dental Degree from the University of Louisville School of Dentistry in 1987. Upon graduation he entered General Practice as an Associate until 1992 when he entered into a successful solo practice in the Fern Creek area.
During these years Dr. Walker held several positions at the University of Louisville School of Dentistry. He worked as an instructor in Preclinical Operative Dentistry and Dental Anatomy (supervising and directing dental students in preclinical labs) and as an Associate Professor of Operative Dentistry directing students in a clinical environment.
Dr. Walker thoroughly enjoyed every aspect of General Dentistry. He found Endodontics to be the most engaging aspect of Dentistry, and after 11 years of General Practice returned to the University of Louisville for specialty training. He graduated from the University of Louisville with a certificate in Endodontics in 2000, returning to Private Practice limited to Endodontics.
Dr. Walker continues instructing at the University of Louisville as an Associate Professor of Endodontics on a part time basis.
Since 1987, Dr. Walker has been a member of the American Dental Association, the Kentucky Dental Association and the Louisville Dental Association. Since 2000 he has been a specialist member of the American Association of Endodontists and the Kentucky Association of Endodontists.
Dr. Walker enjoys singing Barbershop harmony, fishing, beekeeping, gardening, and hunting.
